Form-ing knowledge

• Looks like the form action has to go to a cgi program. I'm toying with the idea of seeing what it would take to have an intermediary script that redirects to my page with the embedded script. My guess is that won't work.
• Maybe it would be better to implement my own SSI?
• Found a couple of SSI-in-Perl examples, but it's unclear how hard it will be to use them on my website
